Project description:

The Standard Model of Particles Physics is the most precise (experiment-theory match) framework in Natural Sciences. Essential in its construction are gauge theories. ‘’The problem of Confinement’ is the analytic understanding of the connection between the high energy description of gauge theories (in terms of quarks and gluons) and the low energy observations (in terms of protons, neutrons, pions, etc).

Using the Holographic formalism and Matrix Models, we will tackle this problem in new models recently proposed. Calculating masses, interactions and observables of the confining dynamics are the objectives.

The ambitious, long-term aim is to describe the Physics of new extensions of the Standard Model, to be discovered in accelerators and in cosmological experiments.
