|The starting salary will be from £32,332 rising to £33,966 on Grade E depending on qualifications and experience.

Summary of the role
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated individual to oversee the Sports Grounds Team in the delivery of winter and summer sports on artificial and natural surfaces across three different facilities.
The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day line management of the Sports Grounds staff and be responsible for their health and safety.
We are looking for someone with a passion for the industry to manage and be responsible for all aspects of playing surface preparation, create annual pitch maintenance and longer term improvement plans, have innovative thinking on new emerging technologies and equipment, create business cases and justification for purchases and use, provide information for a five year spending plan and liaise directly with the University’s Athletics Union on fixtures and events.
This post has a direct impact on the student experience, which is of paramount importance to the University.
The working pattern will be 5 over 7 days, which will include working weekends.
