An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Finance team in the Ashmolean Museum!
About the role
Based in the beautiful Ashmolean Museum, you will support a wide range of day-to-day finance operations activities such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense claims, Barclaycard reconciliations and access of finance systems.
You will be the first point of contact for finance enquiries in relation to financial processes and procedures and will be responsible for the training needs of those involved in these processes.
This is a permanent, full-time position, working 36.5 hours per week, 9am – 5pm. Hybrid working will be considered.
This is a perfect opportunity if you are looking to develop your finance career further and study towards an accountancy qualification.
Our team is committed to encouraging learning and development! We are happy to support any training/learning needs so that you can unlock your potential as a Finance professional.
Please feel free to contact Elena Ferreira ( email@example.com) for an informal chat about the role. For general enquiries or process-related enquires, please contact our Recruitment Team ( firstname.lastname@example.org)
We are looking for a “people person” as you will work with key stakeholders at all levels such as museum staff, external supporters/suppliers, and other management teams.
A high level of accuracy and numeracy is key due to the nature of the tasks you will be doing.
As you will work as part of a small finance team, you will be able to work collaboratively as well as on your own initiative, and be able to proactively identify more effective processes/ways of working.
You must be competent in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, financial systems and databases, but we are also happy to give you training when necessary.
How to apply
You will be required to upload your CV and a supporting evidence form using the attached template (or a supporting statement) as part of your online application. Your supporting evidence form should list each of the essential and desirable selection criteria, as listed in the job description, and explain how you meet each one.
Only applications received online by 12.00 midday (GMT) on Monday 15 January 2024 can be considered. Interviews are expected to take place on Wednesday 24 January or Thursday 25 January 2024.
