You will play a key leadership role in driving the implementation of NERC's Green Finance agenda, contributing to portfolio development, long-term strategy, and partnerships. This role is situated within the Interdisciplinary, Programmes, Design & Management (IPDM) team, within NERC’s Strategic Partnerships Directorate.
Your responsibilities will also encompass overseeing the delivery and post-award management to achieve planned outcomes for NERC's £40M Changing the Environment programme. As well as various translational research initiatives, with a primary focus on the emerging ‘green finance’ portfolio and the Regional Impact from Science of the Environment programme. Collaborating with the Associate Director (AD) for IPDM you will support the development and implementation of the strategic partnerships with the four Changing the Environment Higher Education Institutions (CtE HEIs), managing NERC's relationships with these new partners. In this collaborative environment, you will work closely with colleagues across the Strategic Partnerships Directorate and other key roles, including Heads of Clean Growth, Business Partnerships, Policy Partnerships, and Community Engagement. Reporting to the AD, Interdisciplinary Programmes, Design & Management, this role also involves line management responsibilities for up to two staff members.
You will provide individual and collective leadership within the team, Strategic Partnerships (SP) Directorate and more widely across NERC, UKRI, and external partners.
You will be responsible for the planning, delivery and resourcing of relevant UKRI/NERC priorities and outcomes, and for providing evidence of successful delivery. Your authority will derive from your portfolio knowledge, including broader understanding of environmental science and key partners.
Plus many more benefits and wellbeing initiatives that enable our employees to have a great work life balance!
UKRI is an Equal Opportunity & Disability Confident Employer.
