University of Nottingham Ningbo China is seeking to recruit a Manager for Researcher Training and Development in Graduate School

Your Responsibility

Your key responsibilities include:

  • To be familiar with updates of the University of Nottingham Quality Manual requirements as well as broader researcher training frameworks, and make informed adjustment and updates to the provision of researcher training programmes at UNNC;
  • To stay abreast with the latest development in researcher training trends, new development and novel technologies, and build the awareness of these into the training provision at UNNC, and make informed application where appropriate;
  • Deliver a series of training sessions/workshops to a sizeable, mixed interest groups or groups with diverse levels of understanding of the subject matter; may have responsibility for a programme of skills based training;
  • To prepare and deliver lectures, seminars/tutorials in the area of PGCHE (postgraduate level);
  • To participate in the markings of coursework and other forms of assessments of the PGCHE;

About You

  • You should have a PhD from an oversea university or Sino-Foreign University, where the postgraduate research education system is similar to the UK system;
  • You should have experience in delivering / supporting PGR modules; Understanding or knowledge of using e-learning tools to support;
  • You should have excellent communication, writing and speaking skills in English; Excellent planning and organisation and project;

This is a permanent post that you will be offered a fixed term contract initially of 3 years with a probation of 6 months with University of Nottingham Ningbo China with effect from February 2024 or as soon as thereafter.
