The School of Geography and Planning at Cardiff University is seeking to appoint a passionate, highly motivated and well qualified Lecturer in Human Geography. We are looking for an outstanding candidate who has:

  • The capacity to deliver high quality and research-led teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate level in human geography. We would particularly welcome applications from applicants with research interests related to development geographies and/or environment and development;
  • Values congruent with the core values of our School;
  • Ability to deliver and develop an ambitious and influential research portfolio;
  • Help support the continuing advancement of our teaching programmes for excellent student experience, knowledge and skills development.

This is a full-time post (35 hours per week), fixed-term until 31/01/2028 to cover the teaching of the postholder who is on a research project.

Post to commence: 29th January 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter. We anticipate the interviews for this post to take place w/c 8th January 2024.

Salary: £39,347 - £44,263 per annum (Grade 6). New appointments are usually made at the bottom of the salary scale.
