Ruskin Mill Centre for Practice (RMCP) and Ruskin Mill Land Trust (RMLT) (a charitable trust) hold, preserve and develop the vision, research and academic method of Ruskin Mill. Its associated charitable company, Ruskin Mill Trust Limited (RMT), provides innovative and experiential education and training for young people marginalised by disadvantage, exclusion or special learning needs. Inspired by Rudolf Steiner, John Ruskin and William Morris, the charity actively promotes - through craftsmanship and entrepreneurship - the traditional economic activities of the provision’s locality.

MA PSTE Course Coordinator and Senior Lecturer

Salary band £49,153 - £52,862 per annum depending on experience and qualifications

Ideally to be based at The Field Centre, Nailsworth, near Stroud.

We are looking to recruit an outstanding individual to lead and develop the Master’s degree in Practical Skills Therapeutic Education (PSTE) and other level 7 qualifications as Programme Coordinator and Senior Lecturer, bringing together external requirements and the method of the Trust, Practical Skills Therapeutic Education, in terms of content and delivery approach.

Duties include:

  • Working alongside the Head of Ruskin Mill Centre for Practice and the Higher Education Quality Assurance Lead to forge a path to Office for Students (OfS) registration and application for full Taught Degree Awarding Powers (TDAP).
  • Guiding the faculty in completing (and supporting the ongoing development of) their Module Handbooks and Assessment Requirements.
  • Guiding and supporting the production of good quality assessment of and feedback on work submitted in line with the University of Huddersfield and then RMCP policies.
  • Contributing to the quality assurance processes and procedures in line with the University of Huddersfield and then RMCP policies.
  • Contributing to the development of research strategies, policies and procedures that guide the activities of the Research and Ethics Board.
  • Attending the Research and Ethics Board and undertaking tasks emerging from Board meetings.
  • Organising the Research Community bi-weekly presentations across each academic year. Sending out invitations, VC links, abstracts/summaries, PowerPoints, other materials and links to recordings. Archiving all materials in the Research Repository.

For a full list of responsibilities, please refer to the Job Description for this role. Ideally, you will be Educated to PhD level, and hold FHEA/SFHEA with a proven track record of development, design and delivery of Level 7 programmes
