This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Business Information Technology/Web Design graduate to fast-track their career development as a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) Associate.  The successful candidate will undertake a 24-month collaborative project between Oldham Personal Advocacy Limited (OPAL) and Salford Business School.

This post is a role looking to develop a digital transformation management system that will digitally transform the operations of OPAL.  This will also enable OPAL to improve their service-user response-time, enable the organisation to scale-up, increasing its capacity to support more service-users as well as targeting the harder to reach groups who need the service most.

Typically,  Associates secure full-time positions with the industry partner on successful completion of the KTP as a permanent employee in order to continue supporting the project.

The Project: The project will support OPAL to realise their organisational priorities, through a digital transformation journey, where technology is realised as a golden thread throughout the organisation, ensuring that all processes within OPAL are optimised, and where client support can be assessed, developed and implemented quickly.

Additional added benefits: The successful candidate will receive extensive practical and formal training, gain highly desirable specialist business skills, broaden knowledge and expertise within an industrially relevant project, and gain valuable experience from their industry and academic mentors. The KTP Associate will benefit from a Personal Development Budget of £4,000 (over and above their salary) and will have the opportunity to register free of charge for a further higher degree MPhil/Phd.

Skills required: The successful candidate should have knowledge and experience of data analytics, business analysis, web-based system development, and/or systems design. Understanding of project management and business analysis techniques are essential.

Personal Attributes: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to elicit information from a diverse stakeholder group. The Associate will be the single point of digital knowledge in the organisation and will need to able to communicate technical jargon in an understandable manner to senior staff.
