Bournemouth University’s vision is worldwide recognition as a leading university for inspiring learning, advancing knowledge and enriching society through the fusion of education, research and practice. Our highly skilled and creative workforce is comprised of individuals drawn from a broad cross section of the globe, who reflect a variety of backgrounds, talents, perspectives and experiences that help to build our global learning community.
Bluestar Software and Bournemouth University are about to embark on an exciting project using NLP and Deep Learning to create an innovative product for use in public safety applications.
This is a grant assisted Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) that provides all the benefits of a graduate recruitment programme with the excitement of working in a dynamic company with support and guidance from the University. This 26-month project gives the successful candidate access to a personal development budget of £4,320 as well as a substantial equipment budget.
With the help of state-of-the-art techniques in the area of NLP, Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) and joint embedding spaces, the project will focus on developing the enabling technology for real-time intelligence delivery across a range of heterogenous inputs (structured data, free text, audio recordings). This is a genuine opportunity to join a talented team in a challenging commercial environment to innovate and build digital products that make a difference to people every day.
