The Role and the Department
The successful candidate will be based in the Department of Computer Science, Durham University - ranked in the top five for Computer Science, Times Good University Guide 2017/18 (Durham University ranked 4th overall). The Department holds an Athena Swan Bronze award, highlighting its commitment to promoting women in Science, Engineering and Technology.
Applications are invited for a Course Tutor on the exciting initiative, TechUP which will be delivering TechUPWomen Click Start programme over the next 12 months. The post will include teaching, monitoring, supporting and tracking students completing the programme in general IT and IT support, this will be done through the Thinkific e-learning platform, a Skype group and live online lectures.
Applicants will be fully trained on all course content but should have a working knowledge of the subject area, the curriculum includes:

This role is full time between February and October 2024
There will be a requirement to work outside of normal office hours, as and when required including, being able to work on weekends for welcome and celebration events and two evenings per week during teaching periods.
