The Master of Public Health (MPH) on campus programme at the Usher Institute within The University of Edinburgh is looking for a Lecturer in Epidemiology.
The post-holder will also be responsible for designing and delivering postgraduate level teaching on the Master of Public Health (MPH) programmes (on-campus and online) and the online MSc Epidemiology within the Deanery teaching portfolio. This will include delivering courses (both online or on-campus), supervising course tutors, setting and marking assessments, reviewing and updating course materials, attending Boards of Examiners, and supervising Master’s dissertations.
The post-holder will also have overall strategic leadership responsibility for the dissertation component of our on-campus MPH programme. They will support the research element of the programme and manage the dissertation delivery process, from initial supervisor allocations, through student ethics applications to project completion and submission.
The post-holder will also contribute to wider dissertation coordination across the Deanery Teaching Organisation (T.O.) in collaboration with the PGT Research Manager and create a sustainable pipeline of appropriately trained and supported dissertation supervisors for all our Masters programmes.
All applicants must be able to work in the Edinburgh based office a minimum of two days per week.
