Applications are invited for a full-time, fixed-term Lecturer in Marine Science (Teaching and Scholarship) on a fixed-term basis to provide maternity cover within the School of Ocean Sciences.

The position is for a motivated Welsh-medium Lecturer with specialism in the field of Marine Science – encompassing any or all of marine biology, marine ecology, marine zoology or biological oceanography. The successful candidate will join an active and enthusiastic group of marine scientists and will have the opportunity to undertake teaching across a wide range of levels and in classroom, laboratory and field settings.

The ability to teach in Welsh is an essential criterion for this post. The post holder will have a PhD (or near completion) and ideally have previous experience of teaching marine biology, ecology or biological oceanography to both undergraduate and postgraduate students.

The successful candidate will be expected to commence on 1st February 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter and the post is available for a period of 12 month.

This role will be located on campus in Menai Bridge and occasionally Bangor.
