We are recruiting a postdoctoral researcher to investigate the molecular mechanisms of SMC complexes such as cohesin through biochemistry and structural biology.

The new 3-year position will be located at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB) in Cambridge, UK within the group of Jan Löwe.

You will be an enthusiastic individual with a PhD in a relevant field, or due to complete within 6 months, with a strong background in the molecular biology of SMC complexes. The goal of the project is to decipher the precise molecular mechanisms of DNA loading and unloading, and loop extrusion.

We are looking for a Postdoctoral Scientist for our 3-year Career Development Fellowship/ Postdoctoral Training Scheme. This is a training and development position suitable for you if you have recently completed your doctoral studies, or you are looking to move into a new research discipline and/or need to further develop your research skills.
