Outdoors one of the largest tennis domes of its type in the country, and synthetic and natural turf pitches accommodate a wide range of sports. Duties of the Role
The performance Lifestyle Practitioner will deliver performance lifestyle advice to student athletes based at the University of Essex or athletes on the Sport England TASS programme being delivered through the University of Essex. They will provide impartial advice and reflective discussion and decision making to student athletes. The Performance Lifestyle Practitioner will meet with student athletes to check on their progress, ensuring communication channels remain open and keep a confidential record of meetings held and areas discussed. Holistically monitoring student athletes wellbeing and when appropriate raise any concerns with the Performance Sport Manager
Skills and qualifications required
The successful candidate will have 5 GCSE’s Grade A-C or equivalent, have an Anti-Doping Advisor qualification, Mental First Aid and an ADPL qualification. You will have experience of working with young people and have previous experience of mentoring and working with high performance athletes in a performance environment. Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, excellent organisational and time management skills.
