About the Department:

The Chemical and Materials Engineering program at New Uzbekistan University stands out for its unique collaboration with the President of the Technical University of Munich (TUM), Prof. Wolfgang A. Herrmann.

The Chemical and Materials Engineering program combines a broad range of topics in materials with an emphasis on Chemical Engineering. It covers all aspects of design, synthesis, processing, and analysis of materials, as well as the development of chemical processes. The courses typically blend principles from chemistry, physics, mathematics, and engineering to give students a comprehensive understanding of the field. Most precisely it covers all specialized courses in this program such as Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Separation Processes, Bioengineering, Heat Transfer Phenomena, and Electrochemistry.

These patterns of courses are meant to provide students with a strong foundation in both chemical engineering principles and materials science, allowing them to pursue careers in various industries, including manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, energy, and more.

Requirements from candidates:

  • Ph.D. degree from a reputed University in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field;
  • Teaching and research experience for the
    • Full-time Professor rank, ideally at least 10 years;
    • Associate Professor rank, ideally at least 5 years;
    • Assistant Professor rank, ideally at least 1 year
  • International track record of research and professional achievements;
  • Excellent record in teaching/overseeing undergraduate, graduate, and Ph.D. programs;
  • Teaching profile: Chemical Engineering, Separation Processes, Biochemistry, Electrochemistry.
