The Role

The Reporting and Information Analysts will join our HR Systems and Analysis team to deliver management information and analysis from the University's HR information systems to senior managers, departments, and other stakeholders across the University.

You will support the delivery of the University's exciting HR Transformation Programme as well as other HR systems projects within the Business Systems Ecosystem. The programme will replace our current HR and Payroll system which will enhance our HR data and reporting capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

The HR Analytics team is vital to ensuring the University has access to accurate and up-to-date information on our people. As a HR Reporting and Information Analyst, every day is different, from building reports and analysing meaningful data to aid decision making, to identifying new requirements and improvements to enable new effective ways of working.

Your key responsibilities involve:

  •  Developing new reports using tools such as Cognos and Excel, and, in the future, PowerBI, by receiving requirements and querying operational and business performance data, building queries and formatting output so it is suitable for a non-specialist audience.
  •  Supporting data quality enhancement by analysing existing data and either correcting erroneous data or flagging it for correction.
  •  Specifying new data extracts from live systems and working with University Information Services (UIS) staff to deliver the new extracts.

Benefits

  •  Along with working in a collaborative and encouraging environment, the University of Cambridge offers you a vast range of benefits, including:
  •  Hybrid working with flexibility on your office days and working hours.
  •  Development opportunities such as gaining a recognised qualification, LinkedIn Learning courses, job shadowing and much more!
  •  A generous employer pension contribution of 14.5% with the employee contributing 6.1%.
  •  41 days annual leave (pro rata), inclusive of public holidays.
  •  Fantastic discounts at local businesses and thousands of retailers, helping you save money on the items you want.
  •  Cycle to work scheme, a scheme that allows you to spread the cost of getting a new bike and save on Income Tax and National Insurance.
  •  Health care plans, family friendly policies and so much more!

If this sounds like something you would like, we would love to hear from you. Please review the Further Information document to understand more about the positions and what we are looking for to be successful in this role.

Applications are welcome from internal candidates who would like to apply for the role on the basis of a secondment from their current role in the University.

Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a basic disclosure and a security check.
