An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to join the School of Computer Science & Informatics. You will be a proactive and collegial member of the School’s Professional Service staff, and work closely with finance colleagues located in the College of Physical Sciences and Engineering. The School is primarily based in Abacws (https://www.cardiff.ac.uk/campus-developments/projects/abacws), our brand new innovative building which hosts both the School of Computer Science & Informatics and the School of Mathematics.

This role is eligible to be offered on a blended working basis, meaning that as well as spending time working on campus you can also choose to spend some time working from another location, e.g. your home. The University is committed to offering this flexibility, wherever the role and business need allows, supporting work-life balance

The successful candidate will have the ability and enthusiasm to provide an expert and quality driven support service to the School, providing leadership to the Finance team and senior support on School financial planning and management. You will be required to work as part of a team, which includes within the School and the wider College. You will need to be comfortable in escalating finance matters on behalf of the team where required.

This position is full-time (35 hours per week), is open-ended and available immediately.
