A highly motivated and creative individual is required for the post of Research Fellow in Predictive Health Monitoring Technologies. You will work, as part of a team, delivering the research project entitled ‘Developing a framework for predictive health interventions using digital twinning of the SMART house/participant system’. This is an exciting multidisciplinary project which will address multi-dimensional health challenges and will implement state of the art technology and analytics to improve health outcomes for people. You will be coordinating a number of work packages and will have the opportunity to work with a truly multidisciplinary team.

This position is based within The School of Computing & Engineering, a large, research-intensive School, at the University of Huddersfield, you will also collaborate closely with colleagues in The School of Human and Health Sciences.

The School aims to build upon its success in the Research Excellence Framework (REF2021) by investing in its facilities and staff across its broad range of engineering and computing disciplines.

The work will entail the design and development of health monitoring systems, and the evaluation of real-world data collected in our state-of-the-art SMART house. You will help review the available literature, design and develop techniques, collect and analyse data, and generate academic outputs.

With a Doctoral qualification in Engineering or a closely related area, you will have an interest in health technologies and an enquiring and creative approach to challenges. The work will also involve collaborations with industrial and clinical partners, so good communication skills will be essential and previous experience of liaising with external stakeholders would be an asset.
