Established in 1966, Brunel University London is a leading multidisciplinary research-intensive university delivering economic, social and cultural benefits. With a focus on both academic excellence and practical and imaginative education, Brunel combines an entrepreneurial and research focused attitude to education.
Brunel Business School (BBS) is seeking to appoint several new Professors and Readers. The School has recently approved its Strategic Plan 2030, focusing on building a practice leading ecosystem with a mission to develop sustainable societies and businesses. At the heart of this vision is the commitment to being practice-leading and impact-driven across teaching, research, and industry engagement. The Business School is set to apply for EQUIS accreditation to achieve its goal of becoming ‘triple crowned’.
Successful candidates will play a key role in integrating research, practice and teaching into seamless offerings. BBS has a strong track record of national and international interdisciplinary research and is looking for academic leaders who can extend this into policy and practice. Candidates can come from any business discipline and will be expected to make significant contributions to one of four areas of excellence: Equality, Diversity and Inclusion; Healthcare Management and Wellbeing; Impact Entrepreneurship and Innovation Leadership; and Sustainable Digital Economies. They will have the opportunity to be considered for key leadership roles in the School. They will also have the chance to be closely involved in BBS’s EQUIS application process.
The new Professors/Readers will engage actively with businesses, practitioners and/or policymakers, while making substantive contributions to research and teaching on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Those who are on a Teaching and Research track will make notable contributions to BBS’s REF 2029, through impactful outputs, significant research funding and doctoral completions. This is an opportunity to join an ambitious Business School at an exciting time in its development. Brunel Business School would be open to a discussion about a candidate bringing a research group with them.
Please note that we will consider applications on either a full-time or on a fractional basis.
To apply, please send a covering letter and CV to brunel@minervasearch.com. The closing date for applications is 12th April 2024.
We offer a generous annual leave package plus discretionary University closure days, excellent training and development opportunities as well as a great occupational pension scheme and a range of health-related support. The University is committed to a hybrid working approach.
Brunel University London has a strong commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion. Our aim is to promote and achieve a fully inclusive workforce to reflect our community.
