2023 saw the establishment of the University of St Andrews Business School, through a merger of the highly ranked former Schools of Management and Economics & Finance. The new Business School is a hub of research, teaching and learning excellence, and organisational and policy engagement. Its mission is to work collaboratively and collegially to conduct world-leading research; educate a diverse and inclusive cohort of brilliant students; provide outstanding research-led teaching; and deliver a first-class student experience across all levels.

At this exciting time of investment and growth in the new Business School, St Andrews seeks outstanding scholars of international standing in Entrepreneurship, Leadership Development, Marketing and / or Strategy. They will contribute to, and take a leading role in the delivery, development and coordination of, the Business School’s teaching programmes at undergraduate, postgraduate and executive education levels, as well as the supervision of postgraduate researchers. They will help drive the Business School’s impact and engagement agenda and will be well connected with business, the policymaking sector and / or third sector stakeholders to help maximise the Business School’s contributions to transforming organisations, society and sustainability.

Candidates will hold a doctorate in a cognate discipline and will be capable of teaching their subject to undergraduate, taught postgraduate and post-experience students from a wide range of backgrounds. They will bring an internationally recognised research record, a clear programme of anticipated research activity for the coming years, the ability to secure significant external grant funding and a proven track record of engagement and impact. Candidates’ research may cover any area within their subject; they will have a range of interests which strengthen the Business School and make an outstanding contribution to their field’s advancement through research outputs and impact.
