We are seeking an experienced individual to fill the role of Head HR of Business Systems and Analysis. In this key position, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our existing HR systems during the implementation of a new HR and payroll system. The successful candidate will lead a team responsible for configuring and providing second-line support for HR systems, collaborating with the programme team implementing the new system as required.

The role holder will also lead the Division's reporting and analytics team, taking responsibility for HR statutory and non-statutory returns to bodies such as HESA and UCEA, as well as the delivery of routine and ad hoc management information.

The role holder will provide strategic guidance to the HR Division on their needs for HR systems and analysis, working with University Information Services to prioritise requests for new functionality, and work as agreed to implement the new functionality.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has extensive knowledge of configuring and supporting HR systems, ideally in the higher education sector.
  • Has advanced knowledge of business intelligence tools such as Cognos, and the ability to present complex information to staff at all levels.
