This post is full time, 35 hours per week and is fixed term until February 2025.

Flexible/hybrid working patterns are welcome but some time in the London offices/campuses will be required (usually an average of 2 days per week in the office/campuses).

This is a fixed-term maternity cover contract. The University of Westminster is committed to embedding sustainable development in all strategy, policy, operations, and activities for the benefit of all. The purpose of this University-wide role is to actively engage stakeholders to promote, develop, embed, and continuously improve the University’s sustainable development commitments regarding education and research.

The role will have specific responsibility for:

  • Managing the existing plan for Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) programmes
  • Supporting and guiding academic colleagues, in collaboration with the Centre for Education and Teaching Innovation (CETI), in the implementation of ESD throughout the curriculum, included tailored support for individuals, module teams, course teams, and/or schools and colleges
  • Further promoting sustainability in the curriculum in line with approved ESD plan
  • Improving performance and impact of sustainable development programmes across the University
  • Encouraging engagement with sustainable development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in research partnerships and knowledge exchange programmes and activities.
