About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Statistician to join the Critical Care & Perioperative Medicine Research Group at QMUL under the leadership of Professor Rupert Pearse.

About You

We are looking for an individual with applied experience in clinical trials/medical statistics. You should be a good communicator, team-player and be flexible, self-motivated, with a willingness to learn new skills.

The post holder will provide statistical support for multi-centre trials, help design new studies and provide accurate data analysis to facilitate clinical research; be responsible for developing statistical analysis plans, data cleaning, and preparing scientific reports and support analysis of clinical data in collaboration with national and international partners.

The role fosters professional development, with opportunities for fellowships. The post-holder will work jointly in the Centre for Evaluation and Methods, a thriving research centre incorporating the Pragmatic Clinical Trials Unit (PCTU). The successful candidate will dedicate 60% FTE to CCPMG and 40% FTE to the PCTU.

The post is based at the Royal London Hospital. It is full time (35 hours per week), fixed term appointment for 1 year, with an expected start date of April/May 2024. The starting salary will be Grade 6, in the range of £52,549 - £58,595 per annum (pro-rata), inclusive of London Allowance.
