Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral position in the laboratory of John O’Neill at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB), Cambridge. The successful applicant will be part of a collaboration between Dr John O’Neill and Dr Julie Williams of AstraZeneca and will lead a project entitled: Fundamental mechanisms underlying daily rhythms of kidney function and failure. Specifically, to delineate fundamental cellular circuits underlying circadian control of physiology using cultured human cells.

Candidates should have a PhD in a relevant subject or be due to complete their PhD within 6 months of applying. Particularly useful would be experience of mammalian tissue culture, renal physiology, live cell microscopy, proteomics, molecular biology methods e.g., immunoblotting, quantitative analysis e.g., using R or Python. Prior experience with circadian research methodologies is not required.
