The Opportunity

This post represents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a team of staff in Keele University’s School of Computing and Mathematics in the Faculty of Natural Sciences.

This is a two-year post for a post-doctoral research associate in Applied Mathematics, within the School of Computer Science and Mathematics. The post-holder will be expected to have a post-doctoral experience, demonstrating a record of journal publications and conference presentations. The post-holder will be working on an EPSRC project studying mechanics of multi-layered high-contrast structures. The candidate will be expected to have substantial knowledge of asymptotic techniques in theoretical solid mechanics, including the theory of thin elastic structures. The appointee will be directly involved in collaboration with the German Aerospace Agency (DLR).
