The post is an exciting opportunity for a senior clinical academic with established research and clinical expertise to contribute to the understanding and treatment of mental health problems. This is a new post for a clinical and experimental researcher who can complement the work in the Psychology Department and across the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience, particularly in relation to the treatment of disorders involving anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder. It is an opportunity to build on our strengths in digital therapies through clinical experimental studies and building theoretically driven models of the mechanisms and potential impact of those therapies. It also offers opportunities to work with clinical neuroscientists to provide more input on cognitive effects in mental health from a neuroscience perspective.

The post holder will be expected to continue to demonstrate high standing at national & international level in their field as established by outstanding contributions to its development through publications, creative work, record of grant funding and other appropriate forms of scholarship. This will include developing a research team and establish collaborations across IoPPN and KCL and where appropriate with clinical services within King’s Health Partners and the wider community.

The post is based in the Psychology Department, part of the School of Mental Health and Psychological Sciences (MHaPS). The postholder will not only contribute to our research but will also be active in education, specifically our BSc Psychology and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and will have access to PhD funding opportunities.

This post will be offered on an indefinite contract
