We are looking for a customer-focused individual to join our busy helpdesk team in the University Library. The role provides a varied working environment dealing directly with users to provide an excellent customer experience both of our in-building resources and the UEA Digital Library. We seek applications from people with experience from all kinds of customer service environments who enjoy working within a user-focused team to create a friendly and welcoming environment.

You must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and web-based applications, and be confident assisting users through email, telephone and online chat. The role holder will be enthusiastic about supporting all our users equally to access our services and use their own judgements to make adjustments as necessary to meet the needs of our diverse user community. Excellent written communications skills and high attention to detail will be essential for this role. Most of all you will be a team worker capable of managing your own time and collaborating closely with your colleagues.

This full-time post is available immediately on a fixed term basis until 1 March 2025. The shift pattern is varied and can include early evening and weekend shifts, and some working from home days, so flexibility is essential. If you’re excited about the role and think you can meet the essential criteria, we welcome your application. If you would like to discuss the role before applying, do contact us with any questions and we would be happy to arrange an informal discussion.

Further information on our great benefits package, including 34 days annual leave inclusive of Bank Holidays and additional University Customary days (pro rata for part-time), can be found on our benefits page.

Closing date: 7 March 2024
