We are looking for an experienced Diabetes Research Nurse with primary responsibility to support a dietary weight loss research study involving overweight/obese people with type 2 diabetes (T2D). The post holder will work directly with the diabetes research team based at Queen's Medical Research Institute (QMRI) and the Clinical Research Facility (CRF) at Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
The Opportunity:
The appointee will contribute to the overall recruitment and clinical/dietary management of participants involved in this study by liaising directly with the Chief Investigator and the CRF staff at the Royal Infirmary. They will have day-to-day responsibility for the coordination and delivery of this single centre MRC-funded study. The post holder will also work closely with the Diabetes research nurses at the General Western Hospital and staff at the Edinburgh Imaging Facility QMRI for efficient delivery of this study.
This post is part-time (17.5 hours /2.5 days a week), we are open to considering other flexible working patterns.
