Post Summary 

Trinity College Dublin is seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to take on the role of Professor of Health Innovation in the School of Nursing and Midwifery. The post is open to applicants from a wide range of disciplinary backgrounds, but the focus is on health and health innovation.

The successful candidate will be an integral part of the School team and will provide strategic and operational input to expanding and developing health and health innovation activities within the School, from educational, research and entrepreneurial perspectives. They will lead the operationalisation and execution of the innovation vision for the School, helping to advance nursing and midwifery education, research and science. The role will contribute to impactful innovative and interdisciplinary research and scholarship that improves health outcomes and informs policy and practice.

The Professor of Health Innovation will build on current innovation within the School, establish the School as a leader in innovation in Trinity College and engage in purposeful partnership to grow our academic and research portfolio.

Post status: Permanent Contract

Salary: This appointment will be on the Professorial salary scale (€134,286 – €169,752 per annum) at a point in line with the current Government pay policy. www.tcd.ie/hr/assets/pdf/monthly-academic.pdf

  • Statement of vision of your contribution in a leadership role within the School of Nursing and Midwifery (1 x A4 pages maximum).
