Senior Lecturer in Pharmacy Practice

Kingston University – School of Life Sciences, Pharmacy and Chemistry

We are seeking an enthusiastic colleague with expertise in pharmacy practice to join our team and contribute to teaching of undergraduate and foundation programmes run by the Department of Pharmacy. You will plan, develop and deliver high quality and innovative teaching within the remit of applied pharmacy and clinical practice and review a range of teaching and assessment activities with a team of academics to deliver a vibrant education to our students that can be translated into real-world skills. The appointed candidate will also help lead, coordinate and develop our growing experiential and simulated learning program. The role will require some administrative responsibilities and the supervision of undergraduate research projects. Pedagogical or pharmacy practice research will be supported and encouraged.

The Person

You will have an MPharm degree or equivalent and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council with few years of recent experience within one or multiple sectors of UK pharmacy practice. The candidate will need to be able to engage with a diverse range of students to motivate and inspire them to perform at their best and be able to work within a team with other staff and colleagues in the school and faculty.

Applicants will be required to demonstrate that they meet the Kingston University standards in learning and teaching, and research. By the end of the probation period, you must have achieved the relevant level of UKPSF recognition (if this has not already been obtained).

This is a part time (14.80 hours per week), permanent position with a starting salary of £19,300.40 per annum (40% pro rata to £48,251 per annum).
