The Chief Examiner supervises and supports the setting of examination question papers and the marking of examination answer scripts by the Principal Examiners and any Marking Examiners.
Each Principal Examiner sets an examination question paper, marks examination answer scripts and supervises Marking Examiners.
Vacancy for FD4 Principal Examiners
The person appointed will receive training and full written instructions on setting the question paper and mark scheme, and on the answer script marking processes and procedures. The Principal Examiner will use the syllabus here to finalise the 2024 question paper and mark scheme and will lead a team of Marking Examiners.
In addition, the Principal Examiner will contribute to development of the revised FD4 syllabus and assessment model and will lead its implementation from the 2025 examination session.
Most of the work will be carried out in the Principal Examiner’s own time. Attendance in person is required at a number of meetings per year. The exact times of these meetings are arranged by doodle poll to suit attendees and meetings take place via Zoom.
