Opportunity

At The University of Salford we are passionate about Children and Young Peoples Nurse education and we have an exciting new opportunity for a Lecturer in Children and Young Peoples Nursing, who will strengthen our teaching team by sharing our passion for providing a high-quality learning experience for students and contribute to developing good practice through curriculum development. 

You will be expected to teach and assess on the undergraduate children and young people programmes, and our SCPHN programme, building on our strengths and developing new ideas to meet the demands of a changing world.  The ideal candidate would also have links with healthcare organisations, or be willing to develop them, in order to support and enhance the teaching experience.

This post is part time (0.8 FTE). We promote an on-campus experience for our students, therefore your role would be aligned to this student commitment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design teaching material and deliver either across a range of modules or within the subject area of children and young people
  • Supervise student projects, including, where appropriate.
  • Identify areas where current provision is in need of revision or enhancement
  • Contribute to the planning, design and development of course and curriculum objectives and material, in collaboration with the Student Information Directorate to ensure accuracy of central databases
  • Set, mark and assess work and examinations and provide timely feedback to students that encompasses feed-forward mechanisms for student development
