The Ownership Project 2.0 is an international research initiative at the University of Oxford aimed at developing actionable, research-based insights into how private capital owners can catalyse impact at scale. The Senior Research Writer will play a crucial role in translating research findings into practitioner/public-facing documents, including white papers, reports and publications. This position requires a talented writer with excellent editorial skills, capable of distilling complex academic concepts into accessible insights for non-academic audiences.
 
Key responsibilities:
  • Translate research findings into practitioner/public-facing documents (white papers, reports)
  • Contribute to content writing, editing and copyediting for the Ownership Project Insights series
  • Co-write submissions to practitioner publications (e.g., Harvard Business Review, Stanford Social Innovation Review) based on peer-reviewed academic articles.
  • Collaborate with Initiative staff to describe findings from data collection for research participants and the community of practice.
You should have outstanding written and verbal communication skills and experience in translational writing for diverse audiences. Strong attention to detail and the capability to handle confidential matters with discretion, especially when dealing with sensitive information and high-profile individuals, are essential.
