Our University is a place where discoveries are made, barriers are broken, diversity is celebrated and where everyone is welcome.
Westminster Business School is embarking on an exciting development journey and is seeking to recruit 34 academics. With 7000 students from all over the world we are one of the largest Business Schools in London and have a global perspective. We are inclusive and innovative, inspiring students and colleagues to realise their full potential, driving social mobility and making the world more sustainable, healthier and better place.
We welcome practitioners with extensive up-to-date industry experience, knowledge and practice, and solid academic backgrounds. These posts sit within the Westminster Business School in the School of Management and Marketing. You will become part of a community of around 65 full time and 35 freelance academic staff and 2,400+ students with a shared focus on business management, sustainability, marketing management, marketing communications and digital marketing in an international context.
The School of Management and Marketing offers key courses including BA Business Management and the MBA along with the broadest range of Marketing programmes including Digital and Data Analytics and more specialist management courses in Sustainability, Sport, Retail, Tourism, Events and Hospitality. We build strong industry partnerships to make London our campus and our research has impact.
We are looking to further develop our research team with two Readers in Management and Marketing with themes including consumer studies, digital marketing, and sustainability. In addition to their above research, postholders will teach across general management and/or marketing core courses at UG and PG levels. We particularly welcome applications from candidates with experience in technology-enhanced learning practices. Successful candidates will also benefit from our in-house bespoke teaching training programme.
With Professorial and Reader leadership in place, the School of Management and Marketing has ambitions to transform its current standing in the next REF exercise. We welcome applications for those with research ambitions and can offer 250 hours research allowance to candidates with potential to contribute in this area. The School is research active and will increasingly be so. The School Director of Research is leading on a 5 year Research & Knowledge Exchange plan that will extend the School into the wider London Business community. 3* and above publications have been rising year on year, and we wish to see this continue.
You will play a leading role in advancing the College, particularly the research work of the school through your individual record and input, by fostering the work of others and through the supervision of research students. You will lead or collaborate closely with our research groups, early-career researchers, and other members of the academic and industry research community to excel in research, consultancy, and external funding applications.
