Our University is a place where discoveries are made, barriers are broken, diversity is celebrated and where everyone is welcome.
Westminster Business School is embarking on an exciting development journey and is seeking to recruit 34 academics. With 7000 students from all over the world we are one of the largest Business Schools in London and have a global perspective. We are inclusive and innovative, inspiring students and colleagues to realise their full potential, driving social mobility and making the world more sustainable, healthier and better place.
Based in the heart of the capital’s political, media and financial services, Westminster Business School (WBS) has excellent industry links and global partnerships. We offer a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, executive and short courses, preparing students to be responsible leaders and managers.
You will be based at the University’s Marylebone site, opposite Baker Street station, centrally located and immersed in London’s business community. It offers opportunities for staff and students to work closely with outside organisations in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors.
The post sits within the School of Organisations, Economy and Society, a constituent part of Westminster Business School. You will become part of a community of around 70 academic staff and 1500 students.
The School is particularly proud of its longstanding partnerships with a number of professional bodies including the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) which awards professional accreditation for our MA Human Resource Management, and MA International Human Resource Management degrees. We also have the Entrepreneurship Research Group.
We have a thriving portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in human resource management, organisational behaviour, sustainability management, entrepreneurship, and international development management. We are looking to recruit effective, innovative and creative individuals who can teach on these courses. You would also be expected to be research active in these subject areas too. As a Lecturer, you will be expected to take on leadership roles at module level as determined by the needs of the School.
We are interested in recruiting candidates with a range of expertise but are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in HRM, Organisational Behaviour, Strategy and Entrepreneurship. You will hold a post-graduate degree or professional qualification in a relevant area, will have teaching experience and ideally hold a teaching qualification or HEA Fellowship, show evidence of the ability to produce research publications and have a good personal reputation and professional standing.
