Finance Manager Commercial Operations

Birkbeck, University of London, is on the hunt for a proactive and creative Finance Manager Commercial Operations. This role presents an exciting opportunity to shape the development and improvement of systems and working processes in our new Innovation Support Unit, a key area for enhancing our commercial and innovation activities.

• Annual salary of £49,745 rising to £58,554 per annum
• Full-time, open-ended contract
• Based in the heart of Central London

As our Finance Manager Commercial Operations, you'll play a key role in:

• Establishing financial modelling, preparing systems and processes for innovation and commercialisation projects
• Advising on financial risks and viability within complex projects
• Providing detailed analysis and reports to inform decision-making related to innovation
• Offering professional financial advice and guidance on operational budgeting and processes to the team.

We're looking for a Finance Manager Commercial Operations who:

• Has a proactive and creative approach to finance
• Understands Birkbeck’s strategy and can identify opportunities to enhance financial performance of innovative projections
• Has experience in handling corporation tax and VAT, financial forecasts, and possesses strong analytical skills
• Can work collaboratively with colleagues in various departments to bring projects to fruition.

Remuneration

£49,745 rising to £58,554 per annum, Grade 8 on the College's London Pay Scale.

The salary quoted is on the College's London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated Weighting/Allowance which applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the London area.
