The Biodiscovery Institute (BDI) is a collaborative post-graduate research facility with academics from across six Schools at the University of Nottingham. The BDI comprises 3 buildings and contains a series of laboratories and office spaces supporting 850+ staff and students.

This crucial role is based within the BDI building support team which is dedicated to supporting the operation of the Institute. The role provides key admin support activities to ensure the effective operation of the Institute through a wide range of duties. These duties include front of house cover, dealing with post and telephone enquiries, data entry in Excel, placing orders, maintenance of SharePoint sites. Then role holder will also cover the goods in area during holiday and sickness. 

We have a team-orientated approach, and you should have excellent interpersonal, organisational, and written and verbal communication skills, and good attention to detail. The role will involve manual handling and applicants must have the ability to lift and move loads in excess of 10kg.

Candidates must have a good general education, including maths and English GCSEs at grade C or above (or equivalent), or relevant vocational qualifications.

This is a permanent, part-time role of 13 hours, Thursday and Friday 8:30am-3pm.
