Your new role:

We have an exciting new role that has arisen within our Professional Learning Team for an Assistant Learning Technologist. The role will focus on fine tuning, co-ordinating and supporting a rich programme of learning which spans in person and virtual opportunities to engage with St Christopher’s CARE synchronous and asynchronous offers.  We offer a supportive working environment which includes flexibility around hybrid working.

As the Assistant Learning Technologist, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Assisting with the development of new digital education products and resources to deliver high quality virtual learning
  • Supporting the enhancement of existing digital education products to maximise learner outcomes and engagement
  • Supporting the delivery of digital education for professional education and informal learning opportunities 
  • Providing pedagogic advice, guidance, encouragement and support on the use of technology to all staff involved in teaching. 
  • Our learning management system, its development, utilisation and related training and support.
  • Developing and maintaining an online teaching resource repository

To succeed in this role 

  • You will be educated to degree level or equivalent and evidence of continued professional development in the field of learning technology is desirable.
  • You should have experience of managing a learning management system or equivalent and be confident working with a variety of digital learning software programmes.
  • You will need to be an excellent communicator, both written and verbal including pre-recorded, and have the ability to explain technical issues to a non-technical audience.
  • You must have the ability to work autonomously and in a team, as well as being able to manage your time and prioritise work effectively
