We are excited to announce an opening for a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Centre for Brain and Cognitive Development, Birkbeck University. As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will:

  • Lead a newly funded project, focusing on the analysis of neurocognitive data (EEG, eyetracking, NIRS) from existing large-scale longitudinal studies of infants, children and adults with and without autism and, or, ADHD
  • Collaborate with large-scale European and Canadian networks on projects tracking trajectories of risk and resilience in mental health
  • Potentially set up experiments and test infants, children, and adults
  • Contribute to research studies led by Birkbeck
  • Develop a focus for data analysis within our existing datasets
  • Liaise and coordinate with national and international collaborators to standardise analysis protocols.

The ideal candidate for the Postdoctoral Researcher role will have:

  • Strong experience of data analysis methods (e.g. longitudinal modelling, machine learning, SEM)
  • Experience with AI or data science methods
  • An emerging publication record
  • An interest in using existing data to ask innovative new questions about neurodevelopmental conditions
  • Experience with collection and, or, analysis of neurocognitive methods like EEG, eyetracking, NIRS, virtual reality and behavioural assessment with infants and toddlers.

The Centre for Brain and Cognitive Development (CBCD) incorporates a group of researchers studying brain and psychological development in typically and atypically developing babies and toddlers. We use behavioural testing and brain imaging methods to further our understanding and contribute to the field. Terms and Conditions

Fixed Term for 36 months. Full time (35 hrs). Please submit a CV for consideration.

Remuneration

£42,365 rising to £48,424 per annum. The salary is Grade 7 on the College's London pay scale.
