Your future is here

Nottingham College is one of the largest further education colleges in the country creating opportunities for employment and progression to higher education for the people of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, raising their prosperity and that of the local economy. Our greatest asset is our people, and we believe in changing lives through excellence in education and employment.

The post will be shortlisted against the essential and desirable criteria at application stage from the person specification. Please ensure that you have a look at this specification attached to the Role Profile and complete your application directly from this, as these specifications are an integral part of the selection process.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and creative practitioner to deliver across a variety of acting courses within the Performing Arts Faculty. You will be teaching and assessing on a range of UAL, Pearson and our Degree level qualifications to contribute to the continued success of the department.

Applicants will most likely have industry experience as well as a relevant academic and/or professional qualification in the subject area.

As well as being qualified in a relevant subject, it would be desirable, but not essential that you have a recognised teaching qualification. If you do not hold a teaching qualification then you will need to show a willingness to undertake appropriate training, for which support will be given.

You will need to be highly organised and flexible in your approach to work. You will enjoy a challenge, and ideally have experience of working within a team. You should have a passion for working with people 16+ across Further Education and Higher Education. You will have a high level of interpersonal, motivational, communication and organisation skills.

A commitment to student learning and attainment is essential.

For further details on this post, which the job description and person specification cannot answer for you, please contact Michelle Rensler via email: michelle.rensler@nottinghamcollege.ac.uk

Interviews week commencing 28th March 2024.
