About the Role

We are seeking to appoint a part-time lecturer or senior lecturer in applied psychology to join us at an exciting phase in our development. You will have a Practitioner Doctorate or PhD in psychology (or equivalent) with recent experience of working as a practitioner psychologist such as to afford our students with an outstanding university experience. We welcome applications from candidates who are already, or wish to become, active researchers too.

You will contribute to the delivery of our Undergraduate and/or Postgraduate level teaching. We are especially keen to hear from applicants who have practitioner psychologist experience as a Sport & Exercise, Coaching, Occupational, Educational, or Clinical Psychologist. You will be committed to ensuring that our students benefit from an exemplary education and opportunities to develop their transferable employability skills.

About You

You will be an enthusiastic and friendly professional who is excited about making notable contributions to psychological science and practice. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with a commitment to providing a supportive student experience. Through your contributions to teaching excellence, you will be able to inspire our students to achieve their full potential. 

With a promising (lecturer) or established (senior lecturer) research profile in psychology, you should be able to demonstrate how your research plans support our ambitious strategy for research and/or knowledge exchange activities.

To be successful you will further enrich our students’ experience through your coaching and mentorship skills, and your subject knowledge, as evidenced through your qualifications and experience. In return, you will join a forward thinking team that pushes the boundaries of curriculum development within our discipline.
