Background

Christ Church Business School is recruiting an increasing number of undergraduate and postgraduate students and growing our collaborative partnerships across the globe from Hong Kong through mainland China, Sri Lanka, Dubai, Cyprus and Greece to London. To service such expansion, we are now seeking to make a number of new academic appointments across the School.

The Role

Working within Christ Church Business School’s Accounting, Economics and Finance Section, you will be responsible for providing an outstanding student learning experience, demonstrating creativity and innovation in the effective planning and delivery of seminars, workshops, tutorials, dissertation and business project supervision, and other forms of learning opportunities. This may include face-to-face, blended, virtual, corporate/post-experience and international delivery.

You will provide high quality management of modules in Economics at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, engaging with employers where appropriate, as well as providing pastoral and academic advice to students, taking a proactive approach to the implementation of established quality assurance processes and contributing to the design and implementation of quality enhancement initiatives.

The Person

You will have specialist knowledge of Economics and the ability and willingness to teach across the wider subject domain. Pluralistic and multidisciplinary approaches are particularly welcomed. You should have the ability to develop and deliver online and blended learning materials to support learners effectively in these modes using a VLE.

You will have evidence of ability to plan, design and deliver a high-quality student learning experience in a creative and innovative way.

The ability to provide academic leadership in the development of new modules and courses is essential for appointment at Senior Lecturer level.
