Reporting to the Head of Finance Operations (HoFO), this is a senior role within the finance operations team and you will be expected to provide professional guidance and support across the organisation. You will be an experienced Treasury manager with a good understanding of financial markets and banking, have excellent analytical and investigative skills and have a good understanding of risk and controls.
You will support the Institutional Planning and Performance Cycle (PPC) by taking the lead on all consolidated cash flow budgeting and forecasting, as well as close monitoring of daily and monthly cash flow requirements in line with the Treasury Management policy (TMP). We are responsible for c£710m of income and expenditure annually and a Balance Sheet with Net Assets of c£800m.
You will be an experienced and highly motivated individual with knowledge of working in a large complex organisation who is able to perform effectively under significant pressure, continuously working within tight deadlines and is expected to act independently with little direct supervision from his/her line manager. As there are technical aspects to the role you will be a member of a recognised accounting professional body or have worked in a Finance team long enough to have gained substantial accounting knowledge (qualified by experience).
An experienced manager with the technical expertise to provide high quality advice and who will take responsibility for the treasury function of the University and its related organisations. There are 6 staff members in the treasury team of which 2 are directly managed by this role.
