Beyond this educational development and support role, the centre also runs a part-time Master’s in University Learning and Teaching with over a hundred active students (who are all staff at the College) and has a key role in developing STEMM-B pedagogic research at Imperial. This pedagogic scholarship and research involves the educational development team working with an Associate Professor, research associates and PhD students and actively engaging in pedagogic research. The Centre’s entire range of activities is supported by a Centre Manager and a team of three administrative support staff who each take responsibility for key areas of our work, but who work collaboratively to support the entire function of the Centre.

We are recruiting for a Programme Support Coordinator to take responsibility for the support and coordination of CHERS academic programmes, working with the Centre Manager and programme and course directors to deliver this flagship element of CHERS provision. • Working independently to keep accurate and robust student records and preparing for the programme Exam Boards
  • Arranging and minuting all programme meetings including the annual Exam Board, Student Staff Liaison Committee (SSLC) meeting and CHERS Postgraduate Studies committee meetings.
  • Supporting with the Centre’s new PG Cert in Clinical Education, managing administrative requirements in conjunction with colleagues in the Faculty of Medicine
  • Providing administrative support as required to the ‘The Science of Learning’ teaching team, the CHERS-run undergraduate I-Explore module.

Additionally, you will:

  • Undertake additional activities and assist where necessary across the range of activities in the Centre, carrying out administrative and other ad-hoc duties as required.
  • Take responsibility of your own development, identifying any additional training needs and working with the Director, Centre Manager and others to develop your potential.

  • Educated to at least ‘A' Level or equivalent
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development.
  • Either recent administrative experience in a similar role, or, significant general administrative experience with proven development.
