About the Role
The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences is seeking to appoint an experienced and motivated manager able to drive the development and realisation of our strategy, objectives, and new initiatives. The successful candidate will be capable of building strong relationships with colleagues across the University to ensure initiatives are successfully delivered.

The post-holder works in close partnership with the Dean and with various Programme Directors, Course Reps, Schools and Central Services on the development and implementation of strategy. The role is highly independent, with significant autonomy to propose and manage new strategic pathways.

The post-holder will have strategic oversight of the interdisciplinary degree programmes, joint degree programmes, and associate students within the faculty. The postholder will aid in the development of new interdisciplinary degree programmes in line with the Faculty’s Enabling Plan and effectively communicate information across the faculty.

About You
The successful candidate will have a good Honours degree or significant relevant experience of management and administration. They will have a good understanding of academic processes and teaching in higher education. Knowledge and experience of the various stages of the student cycle are essential. Responsibilities include overseeing module registration, timetabling, assessments, examinations, pre-arrival planning, and quality assurance.
