We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, collaborative, high performing academic to join the School of Computer Science. The successful candidate will deliver innovative teaching across a core programme of study in Computer Science. We are looking for a candidate who can lead teaching and practice around core modules such as software development, full stack web development, game development, cyber security, and machine learning.

The successful candidate will have a portfolio of technical skills accompanied by an extensive knowledge of the theory and practical application of modern computing techniques to the creation of digital products. Practical skills may include - but are by no means limited to - JavaScript (including front-end frameworks, graphics and audio libraries), Python, UX/UI design, games development, all machine learning algorithms, and AR/VR.

As we grow our Computer Science provision and move into having more of a presence in Leeds City Centre we have an exciting opportunity for new colleagues to join the lecturing team. Initially, you will be based at Horsforth Campus, but it is expected you will relocate to the Leeds City Campus in the Academic Year 2024/25. Through our Agile working framework, there will also be the option to spend some time working remotely, which will be discussed further with candidates at interview.

We welcome applications from candidates who have a PhD (or who are close to completing their PhD) in Computing (or a closely related area of study) or who have an equivalent portfolio of experience. Applicants with a professional qualification with a chartered institute or professional body are welcome.

Closing date for applications: 3rd April 2024. Interviews for this post are expected to take place on 19th and 22nd April 2024.

Informal enquiries may be addressed to Nicky Danino, Head of School N.Danino@leedstrinity.ac.uk
