Applications are invited for the above permanent full-time post, we are recruiting an experienced and enthusiastic Chef to join our expanding team working in the Catering Section of Campus Services. This is a full-time post on a shift basis including evenings and weekends.
Duties will include undertaking food preparation, production and service within the university catering outlets. Delivering a broad range of craft skills, ensuring that the agreed standards of service are consistently delivered for the quality and presentation of food, and maintaining safe and hygienic working practices within the workplace. The post holder will possess a professional cookery qualifications to a minimum City and Guilds 706/2 or equivalent and an NVQ Level 2 in Food Hygiene or an equivalent qualification or possess relevant experience.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post. If applicants are not able to speak/write in Welsh at present, there are many opportunities to learn if the successful candidate wishes to do so.
The successful candidate will be expected commence as soon as reasonably possible.
This role will be located on campus at Bangor. Applications will also be considered to carry out this role on a part-time or job share basis.
