This is an exciting opportunity to appoint a permanent Lecturer with a keen interest in widening access to higher education and/or medicine and inclusive education principles. As a core member of the MB BS Medicine with a Gateway year team, and working as Deputy Course Director, you will help to develop and support the Gateway Year course design and delivery. You will have a PhD (or near completion) in the field of biological science or a closely related biological discipline. Ideal candidates will be highly motivated, with a proven academic track record and experience in teaching biological science in higher education, preferably in a health-related context. In addition to Gateway Year activities, you will be part of the wider EDI steering group within the Department of Medical Education and to help develop and implement inclusive education practices across all aspects of a student’s educational journey at Norwich Medical School.
This full-time post is available from 1 July 2024 on an indefinite basis. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and appointment will be subject to a criminal record check at Enhanced level from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
