Turning Passion into Purpose. London South Bank University are excited to be recruiting for the post of Customer Services Manager in the Library/Student Centre at our Croydon Campus.

This position will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to manage the Library/Student Centre and its team of advisors at our LSBU Croydon campus.

In partnership with colleagues at the University’s central campus you would provide a high quality library service including maintaining and improving our study spaces, managing daily library operations, and providing library and student IT enquiry support in-person to Croydon students and online/by phone to students across all our campuses.

The Student Centre is also the home of our Student Life helpdesk which answers first line enquiries on a range of student issues such as disability support, accommodation, finance, wellbeing, skills for learning and international student advice and you would work with colleagues across first line and specialist University teams to provide this service at Croydon.

About you:

We are looking to hear from candidates who have the following skills/experience:

  • Extensive experience of providing efficient and responsive customer service via various channels and supporting users accessing a range of services.
  • Relevant managerial experience gained within a UK higher education or FE college environment.
  • Knowledge of current issues in the higher education sector and a clear understanding of the needs of customers in an educational environment including the needs of users with specific requirements relating to disability.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced staff manager, with excellent communication skills, confident with IT, and able to prioritise tasks and deliver within agreed timescales.
