We are recruiting an enthusiastic and committed educator to join our Widening Participation Mentor team within Undergraduate Medical Education. This successful mentoring program has been running since 2021. This is initially a fixed term appointment for 72 months.
Role Purpose
The Widening Participation Mentor role is to deliver a one- to- one personalised mentor program to medical students who have been admitted through contextualised admissions (widening access). Through the formation of a longitudinal mentoring program the specific needs of each student can be identified.
As a positive and inspiring role model the WP Mentor will support the students to set ambitious goals, identify routes to overcome challenges, access new experiences and a gain a deeper understanding of the world of medicine to guide their career trajectory.
